From the Media
The Inn feels like home. Guests relax in the lounge, browse through the bookshelves… I found one gentleman fast asleep (mouth agape in a bout of blissful snoring) and slowly being devoured by a comfy chair.
Something completely different: Rissington Inn, the relaxed, let-your-hair-down creation of Chris Harvie. ... Harvie, an amusing chatterbox, has taken the formality out of the retreat experience in keeping with the wild ambience of his property.
Condé Nast House and Garden
Arriving here is like coming home, though in this case home has great service, 5-star food and the comforts of a hotel…Chris says 30% of his local and international guests return. We’ve already booked our next stay.
Food & Home
The coolest place to stay in Mpumalanga.

Chris Harvie supervises the fine cuisine…. Superlative, imaginative meals. Personally recommended.
The best…. Rissington Inn, haven of fine food and luxurious, but sensibly-priced accommodation.
Up Front (British Airways In-flight Magazine)
What I like about Rissington is its lack of fussiness. You can really kick off your shoes and relax… you get all the essential comforts and excellent food you need without all the extra luxuries you pay a fortune for. Consequently prices are reasonable.
The Inn is the kind of place you hope to find on a trip like ours – happy, relaxed with good chefs and evenings full of excellent wine and wit. It was so comfortable – huge rooms and lots of space to breathe outside.
Rissington has been a beacon of excellence in the revived country inn genre for some time now ... Guests return year after year, seduced by the deep verandahs, en-suite bathrooms – we quaffed champagne every night in our Victorian ball-and-claw – and private outside showers. Like staying at the home of a rich and well-travelled uncle, we felt completely cosseted within Rissington’s comfortable confines.
